Students may earn course credit by taking The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST) exams. To receive credit, students must meet the minimum acceptable score requirements for each exam. CLEP & DSST exams can be taken at Main 校园 of Shaw AFB Education Center testing locations. Appointments are mandatory and you must have access to Shaw AFB if you are testing at the Shaw AFB Education Center site.

How Do I Register, Pay, and Schedule for the Exam?

Step 1: For CLEP, visit the link 开始学习CLEP to purchase your test ticket from 大学委员会. You will need to bring your test ticket to 测试服务 the day of your exam.
有关DSST，请访问链接 DSST测试 to register for a Prometric account if you do not already have one. You will need to bring your login information to 测试服务 the day of your exam. Registration and payment for a specific exam title are done at 测试服务 the day of the exam.
注意:第一个CLEP & DSST attempt is free for DANTES funded Active Duty 军事 and Ready Reserve (Reserve or Guard). Eligibility is determined when obtaining your test ticket with 大学委员会 (CLEP) or establishing your account at Prometric (DSST).

Step 3: Pay a required $25 administrative fee, payable to Central Carolina Technical College. 你可能
visit the cashier to pay the fee in the Round Building (M300R) or at any of our other convenient locations or you may pay the fee by phone by calling (803) 774-6607. The $25 administrative fee is waived for Active Duty 军事 and DANTES funded test candidates.
